I was born in Great Britain, but from an early age I felt attracted to France and its language. After obtaining my BA Honours Degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Birmingham in 1984, I headed for the South of France and settled in Marseille. I’ve been working as a translator and interpreter in French and English ever since, and now I look forward to meeting your interpreting and translating needs.
Conference interpreting
Simultaneous conference interpreting takes place either in a booth, or by means of a portable system in the event of field visits or small meetings.
Consecutive interpreting
Consists in interpreting the words of a speaker once they have finished speaking, to convey their message.
Technical translation
I translate all types of content from French into English, my mother tongue. For instance, the content may take the form of instruction manuals, annual reports, calls for tenders, internal memos, press articles, press releases, web sites, software files, etc. etc.
Sub-titling, voice-overs
This type of work connected with the film industry often requires some artistic creativity.
