English / French Interpreter in Marseille
Are you looking for a French / English interpreter in Marseille, Nice, Monaco or Worldwide?
AT Traductions is the partner you need.
Here are the solutions that AT Traductions offers you:
1. Simultaneous interpreting
Simultaneous interpreting is the best solution for your multi-lingual conferences, symposiums, meetings, seminars, etc.
a) Booth
The interpreters work in a sound-proofed booth which may not be in the same room as the participants. Thanks to dedicated equipment those participants who require the interpretation listen in by means of wireless headsets and receivers. This is a particularly comfortable solution for the interpreters and for all the participants because those who do not need the interpretation are not disturbed. The interpreters can speak perfectly normally, making the interpretation much more comfortable to listen to.
b) Portable system
For meetings with relatively few participants (roughly no more than thirty), we use a portable solution transported in a carrying case, containing a microphone and wireless headsets, which is commonly called a “bidule”. The interpreters remain in the same room as the participants and interpret into the microphone in a low voice. Participants requiring the interpretation listen in on the headsets. This is an extremely flexible and inexpensive solution when the group is on the move, e.g. during a site visit, or for a small meeting in a room not equipped for simultaneous interpreting.
2. Liaison interpreting
3. Consecutive interpreting
This interpreting mode is particularly suitable for speeches and presentations. The interpreter listens to the speaker, takes notes, and then conveys the meaning of their words to the audience. The speaker may or may not pause during the speech to allow the interpreter to interpret. However, it is important to bear in mind that this type of interpreting doubles the time required for the speech or presentation. This is an important factor to consider if there are time constraints.

When should I contact a French / English interpreter in Marseille?
- For a business event: site visit, professional appointment, conference, seminar, commercial negotiation, general assembly, etc.
- For a government body: speech, conference, symposium, seminar, etc
- For cultural or sports events: Olympic Games, Cannes Film Festival, radio interviews, etc.
The process
Careful preparation
The first task consists in finding out about the subject and the field, using documentation supplied by the customer, and through copious research: terminology, speakers, etc.
Punctuality always
An early arrival on site makes it easy to check the equipment and work with the technicians to solve any last-minute problems. This extra time also provides an opportunity to have a quick talk with the speakers, if possible, to get an idea of their speaking style, accent, speed, etc. and to foster a climate of trust and teamwork
Precise intervention
The interpreter conveys the speaker’s meaning clearly and concisely, and above all, accurately. Interpreting is an activity that requires tremendous concentration, and at all times the interpreter must remain serious and courteous.
Brief feedback
Feedback from the mission, whether immediately or next the day, is vital to ensure customer satisfaction and identify any areas for improvement.
